How to install elixir on Debian

Installing elixir on Debian Jessie (v8) is practically the same as
given in the installation guide. However, as it still took me some
time to figure out, that for instance, you also need the erlang-dev
tools, here a short write up.

wget http://packages.erlang-solutions.com/erlang-solutions_1.0_all.deb && sudo dpkg -i erlang-solutions_1.0_all.deb
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install elixir
sudo apt-get install erlang-dev
sudo apt-get install build-essential

If you use ansible, here my receipt:

- name: Add erlang solutions repo
  shell: "cd /tmp/ && wget http://packages.erlang-solutions.com/erlang-solutions_1.0_all.deb && sudo dpkg -i erlang-solutions_1.0_all.deb"
